Saw this bike at the recent Jap bike Show and thought it was awesome just the way it was.
Then I’m browsing the PSB thread about the show and I saw the above pic.
The Kawasaki Samurai was a class leading bike when released in 1967. The Kawasaki W1 (what the modern day W650 & W800 are modelled on) wasn’t selling as expected so Kawasaki went back to the drawing board and outgunned the competition, namely the Suzuki T250 Hustler, Honda Dream CB250 and Yamaha DS6.
