At Garage Project Motorcycles you can choose to have us transform your ideas into reality where we’ll build a bike from the ground up to your specification or you can choose from one of our sensational pre-built custom bikes that can be tweaked to fit your style.
With a ground up bike, we start by using your bike or finding a suitable donor bike. We then find out what you want and agree on a way forward before creating the masterpiece. We are perfectionists so it will take time (like all things worthwhile) to get it right.

HISTORY
Garage Project Motorcycles was created when a couple of guys were bored with the Perth bike customising scene.
It was either “bolt on bling” on sports bikes or the oh so overdone naked chick riding a fire breathing dragon fighting off a serpent with a sword in one hand and a skull in the other airbrushed on Harleys.
Our bikes were Kawasaki W650’s that we turned into an award winning flat tracker (Garage Project #1) and a modern style cafe racer (Garage Project #2) that gets out to a few track days in between cruising through Fremantle and annoying the residents of the Perth hills.
We wanted to do something different so decided to turn our Honda CB350 into a “Bratstyle” bobber with a unique paint scheme (Garage Project #3).
2 weeks before finishing “the Brat” we were offered a Yamaha SR250 (Garage Project #4) that had been in the garage of a mate for four years and had had enough. We got it finished and it won the 4th annual Jap Bike Show, beating every other bike in the Cafe/Bobber & Chopper class including Garage Projects #1, #2 & #3.
Garage Project #5 is a SOHC CB750 that we will turn into a crazy single sided swingarm, big bored supermoto, a stylish cafe or a back to basics ultra cool laid back bobber. We have yet to decide.

FAQs
The prices are listed in each of the motorcycles profiles. We start with the end in mind and only build a custom bike if there is going to be healthy demand for it when we are finished. Part of that demand is determined by the asking price so while customisers on the east coast are asking (and getting) $14,000+ for a bike with minimal if any fabrication and a few parts out of a catalogue, we think that is unreasonable. For that price, you should expect a show stopper that magazines and blogs are fighting over to feature. We have built bikes for more and for less. Everyone is ecstatic with their bikes and you will be too.
If it is a pre-built bike, have a bag of unmarked $100 notes ready for us when we drop it off. If you want to transfer the money, give us a cheque or use paypal, we will grudgingly accept those methods as well :)
If it is a ground up custom to your specs, we generally require 50% upfront and the remaining 50% on completion. We’re easy going guys and am happy to work with you to help you achieve your dreams.
No need to worry as all Garage Project Motorcycles come with 12 month FREE servicing if you are in Perth. Outside of Perth any good mechanic can look after our your bike. We can source any manufacturer parts and re-fabricate any custom part we designed and created.
We generally take old bikes and completely rebuild, refurbish or replace whatever is necessary to make it better than when it rolled out of the factory doors. If the situation calls for it, we will also enhance the suspension, braking and engine performance. All of our bikes have been rewired and mechanically overhauled by a qualified auto mechanic.
Shipping from Perth to the East Coast is surprisingly cheap, we organise everything and make sure it is delivered to your door in perfect condition ready to ride.
If you are outside Australia, we’ll crate the bike and organise a customs agent from our end.
